Bangladesh celebrates Great Victory Day

Dhaka, 14 December, 2020:

Russian Centre for Science and Cultural (RCSC) in Dhaka jointly with Liberation War Academy Trust organized a solemn meeting on the occasion of the Great Victory Day in the Liberation War 1971.

Maxim Dobrokhotov, Director of RCSC in Dhaka, congratulated the veterans and prominent freedom fighters from different districts of Bangladesh. He reminded the contribution of the USSR to the Victory of Bangladesh people noting that it was as a friendly assistance which remains unbreakable and glorious part of the common history.

Chairman of Liberation War Academy Trust Dr. Abul Kalam Azad thanked the Russian representative for his attention to this important date, celebrated throughout Bangladesh, stressing that this is evidence of a true friendship between two countries that has existed for over forty years.

A documentary dedicated to those heroic events was shown to close the ceremony.

ঢাকাস্থ রুশ বিজ্ঞান ও সংস্কৃতি কেন্দ্র (আরসিএসসি) যৌথভাবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ একাডেমি ট্রাস্টের সাথে একাত্তরের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিজয় দিবস উপলক্ষে এক আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করে।

ঢাকাস্থ আরসিএসসির পরিচালক ম্যাক্সিম দোব্রোখোতভ বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন জেলা থেকে আগত প্রবীণ এবং বিশিষ্ট মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের অভিনন্দন জানান। তিনি মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিজয়ী বাংলাদেশের জনগণের পক্ষে ইউএসএসআর-এর অবদানের কথা স্মরণ করিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন যে এটি একটি বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ সহায়তা হিসাবে ছিল যা সাধারণ ইতিহাসের অবিচ্ছেদ্য এবং গৌরবময় অংশ হিসাবে রয়েছে।

মুক্তিযুদ্ধ একাডেমি ট্রাস্টের চেয়ারম্যান ড. আবুল কালাম আজাদ এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিনটির প্রতি গুরুত্ব দেওয়ার জন্য রুশ প্রতিনিধিকে ধন্যবাদ জানান, যা সারা বাংলাদেশে উদযাপিত হয়, তিনি দৃঢ়তার সাথে জোর দিয়ে বলেন যে এটি চল্লিশ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে বিদ্যমান দুটি দেশের মধ্যে সত্যিকারের বন্ধুত্বের প্রমাণ।

অনুষ্ঠানটির শেষে বিজয় দিবস স্মরণে একটি প্রামাণ্যচিত্র প্রদর্শিত হয়।
